As a young boy I was brought up preparing and tasting fantastic cuisine. Working to earn extra pocket money I would spend many an hour helping out in the family run restaurant, watching close by as the most amazing dishes were created before my eyes knowing one day I too was going to be able to create magic like this.

 

FROM A YOUNG CHILD TO AN ADULT MY PASSION FOR GREAT FOOD HAS INTENSIFIED, A PASSION I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU.

 

I will teach you the way I learnt with my grandmother. Her passion for food is what I grew up with and it has never left me. You will discover the beautiful contrasts between spices and aromatics, learning to combine unique flavours and creating a perfectly balanced dish. We will work with seasonal ingredients that are fresher and cheaper. I will guide and supervise as you learn the art of knife skills (chopping, dicing, carving, peeling, etc.). As we’ll work side by side, you will learn the best techniques for removing meat from the bone, carving, filleting a fish and how to joint a chicken. I will share important safety tips. We will cover frying, poaching and roasting. One of the most exciting methods you will learn is slow-cooking. It is complex and intriguing, in turn fascinating your imagination and taste-buds. This method of cooking works best with a Tagine. Of course, the greatest part is that you learn in your own kitchen, using familiar equipment, in a comfortable environment. Your confidence will blossom as you realise your full potential and the possibility of creating so many wonderful dishes yourself. My service is entirely personal to you. If there are certain types of dishes or methods you want to focus on, I will adapt to suit your request.

ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Through my website and my cooking I will be giving you an insight in to my world. We will travel continents together exploring the finest dishes whether it’s from India, Mexico, Morroco or anywhere your tastebuds wish to take you. I will open your imagination into a magic world of fusions, spices and aromas.

As for my views, nothing beat the fresh taste of spice. You may tell me that buying every single ingredient will cost a lot more than getting a ready made sauce. You can also use them again by chopping and freezing what’s left. Imagination is in everyone’s mind, that’s how you are able to dream, and cooking is my way of escape. When I want to create oriental dishes, the choice is very vast. It is a way of travelling. Personally, I like to push the flavours even more. As I am calling fusion, I mean, an experiment of different fruits or vegetables, herbs, aromas and spices. Mixing classic French and Japanese cooking, or even Moroccan and Thai finest. It does transport you everywhere you want to go.
